Miami, FL (November, 2009) - Team ISS Athlete and renowned NPC bodybuilder, Al Auguste, brought his best physique to date and hit the NPC National's stage hard in Miami, vying for his IFBB pro card. After holding out for one full year to compete, Al repeated his 2008 second place finish in the light-heavyweight division, but this year's physique boasted a bigger, leaner look, putting him as the favorite for his 2010 NPC debut.
Training for the 2009 NPC Nationals was intense, but the native Haitian is no stranger to struggle and adversity, growing up amist the political unrest and turmoil of Haiti until he was fourteen. Al worked with fellow Team ISS athlete and IFBB pro, Don Long, to take his physique to the next level. "He broke me down and brought me back up," Al said about training with Don, "I was doing things I’d never done before."
ISS Research supplements were part of Al's pre-contest arsenal, as he used Complete Whey Power protein powder after workouts and Micellar Matrix in the evenings. Al plans to continue training and compete again next year in route to obtain his pro status and raise the bar in the light-heavyweight division.
